Mentoring

What does the Mentoring Program stand for?

The preparation and realization of a professional or university stay in the USA requires a thorough examination of the US legal system and culture. Many issues can only be clarified by a personal dialogue with insiders in the course of this necessary preparation process. Even after a stay in the USA, personal information can be of decisive significance for the best contribution of the acquired skills for the future professional career. The Mentoring Program serves to match suitable mentors and mentees. The Mentoring Program is not a job exchange platform.

The Mentoring Program in particular serves at providing individual support, especially by the transfer of soft information between mentor and mentee. The determination of scope, term and intensity is up to the persons involved.

Who can be mentor or mentee?

  • Mentors – For members only.
Mentors can only be members of the DAJV with professional or university experience in the US and who are willing to transfer this experience to interested persons.

  • Mentees – For members only.
Mentees can be all DAJV memters planing a stay in the USA who have already informed themselves about the details of such a stay or would only like to intensify their exposure to US law.
