How to apply
Whom will I meet?
At least 50 law students and legal trainees who are preparing for their advanced legal education in the United States.
Is the LL.M. Fair open to the public?
Yes. In addition to the around 50 participants of our three-day seminar on how to prepare for legal studies in the U.S., other prospective students may sign up for and attend the LL.M. Fair alone.
How may I present my law school?
There will be a 15 minute time slot for a presentation, a small booth to meet with students and display materials, and an opportunity to schedule private meetings. We encourage you to invite alumni of your school to come.
How many law schools will participate?
We will admit a maximum of ten law schools on a first come, first served basis.
How much does it cost?
€ 2,000 per law school. Because the DAJV is a non-profit organization, this fee is used exclusively to cover event costs.
What does the fee cover?
A 15 minute presentation time-slot, custom-designed booths, private meeting scheduling for later interviews, food and beverage catering, assistance with finding accommodation as well as transport, logo, contact information and hyperlink placement on promotional materials and the DAJV website for at least twelve months.
When and where will it take place?
13 May 2012 in Cologne, Germany.
How can I get there from the United States?
Cologne-Bonn airport provides excellent connections within Europe. The other nearest airport with frequent direct flights is Dusseldorf, which is about a 20 minute drive or train ride from Cologne.
When is the application deadline?
Spaces are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Last year’s event was booked solid within three weeks of being announced.
