What an amazing event! Over 110 participants gathered in Frankfurt am Main for the Transatlantic Legal Conference #tlc23 on March 17, which has been on an involuntary hiatus for three years. It was an absolute delight to finally welcome everyone back in person!
As one of the flagship events of the association, the #tlc23 was open to all interested persons and covered a wide range of topics related to transatlantic law. The conference was co-organized by the DAJV working groups, which provided an excellent opportunity for lawyers from different professions to exchange ideas and discuss current legal issues.
This year’s event was particularly exciting as experts discussed various topics, including Cryptocurrency Litigation, Transatlantic Freetrade News, ESG in the M&A context, and Data and Merger Control. The working groups’ presentations and discussions were informative and engaging, providing valuable insights and perspectives on transatlantic legal issues.
The conference concluded with a festive dinner and a dinner speech by the US Consul General in Frankfurt, Norman Thatcher Scharpf.
A heartfelt thank you to all the speakers, moderators and the many transatlanticists who attended as participants. A special thank you to the Vicepresident of the European Parliament, Nicola Beer, for contributing European perspectives. Last but not least, many thanks to our host, the Institute for Law and Finance at the House of Finance of Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.
Overall, it was a fantastic event, and we look forward to #tlc24!
