The UC Davis School of Law LL.M. offers a superior educational experience for foreign lawyers, judges, prosecutors and other legal professionals. It integrates American and international law students at all levels of study and provides LL.M. candidates with a broad curriculum of many different courses over ten months of study. Through the LL.M. program, international law graduates are able to gain a basic knowledge of the U.S. legal system and also have the opportunity to develop special expertise in a particular area of law.

UC Davis is waiving the application fee for all participants who apply. It also guarantees a partial scholarship for admitted LLM students who attended DAJV LL.M. Day 2022.

LL.M. Program 

The UC Davis LL.M. program integrates American and international law students at all levels of study and provides LL.M. candidates with a broad curriculum of many different courses over ten months of study. Through the LL.M. program, international law graduates are able to gain a basic knowledge of the U.S. legal system and also have the opportunity to develop special expertise in a particular area of law.

Scholarships / Financial Aid Information

UC Davis Law has a limited number of fellowships available to highly qualified LL.M. students. All applicants are considered for fellowship funding; there is no separate application process for scholarships. Students will be notified about any fellowship offer as part of their letter of acceptance.

For financial assistance or financial aid, you may wish to contact international education funding groups, such as the Institute of International Education, which administers Fulbright Scholarships. You can also inquire about travel grants and other fellowship opportunities from the United States Embassy or Consulate in your home country, as well as private businesses or religious organizations.

Application requirements

We are now accepting applications for the LL.M. program. The LL.M. program follows an academic year calendar, with starts in late August and January; the academic term ends in May each year. We encourage students to apply today! We accept applications for fall and spring starts. Every student receives personalized attention and support throughout the application process and the program completion and beyond.
